UPDATE 4/30: The upcoming Zelda game's release date changed from March 2017 to simply 2017:
Today, Nintendo has announced that the NX console will not be revealed until March 2017. Not only that, the latest Zelda game is said to be the only game playable at E3, and that it won't be released this year, either.
When we think about it, 2016 will be a pretty quiet year overall, aside from released games that received lukewarm reviews, like Twilight Princess HD, Pokken, especially Star Fox Zero (with a 70 on Metacritic). Later, though, there will be Federation Force, Color Splash, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, each receiving less-than-favorable reactions. Of course, for E3, there will be games that haven't been announced now, but they're still mysteries.
As for the Wii U, despite hits like SSB4, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, etc,. it currently remains the least-selling Nintendo console of all time, contrasting the Wii, which was the best-selling in history.
